Who we are
Taskora (“Taskora”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Rowain Snyder, an independent operator based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information Taskora collects through this website and app, why, and the choices and rights you have.
The person in charge of the protection of personal information (privacy officer under Quebec’s Law 25) is Rowain Snyder, reachable at rowainsnyder@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you submit the lead / contact form, or a business customer’s connected inbox sends us an inquiry, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Business name and business type (optional)
- Your description of what you want help with
- Whether you checked the automated email consent box, and when
- Your IP address, used only temporarily to limit repeated or spam submissions (rate limiting). It is not saved with your inquiry.
We also keep basic records about each inquiry, such as its status, follow-up dates, notes added by the business owner, and whether notification or confirmation emails were sent.
If you subscribe to the paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. Taskora never sees or stores your full card number.
Why we use it
- To receive, store and respond to your inquiry, and to follow up with you about it.
- To notify the business owner by email that a new inquiry arrived.
- To send you an automated confirmation email, only if you checked the consent box.
- To protect the service against spam and abuse.
- To manage subscriptions and billing for business customers.
We use your information only for these purposes, or as required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Consent and email (CASL)
By submitting the form you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in this policy, so we can respond to your inquiry.
Automated confirmation emails are optional and are sent only if you check the consent box on the form, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Any follow-up email will identify who it is from and how to reach us. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying “STOP” to any email, or by writing to us at the contact address below. We will act on your request promptly, and within 10 business days at the latest.
You may also withdraw your consent to our use of your information more generally (see “Your rights” below). This may mean we can no longer respond to your inquiry.
Service providers and where data is stored
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Taskora. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their services to us:
- Supabase: hosted database where inquiries and settings are stored.
- Resend: sends owner notification emails and optional confirmation emails.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages): hosts the website and runs the server functions. It processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
- Stripe: processes subscription payments ($19 CAD/month). Stripe handles your card details directly.
These providers may store or process information outside Quebec and outside Canada, for example in the United States. In that case your information may be subject to the laws of those places, including lawful access by their authorities. Before sharing information outside Quebec, we consider the sensitivity of the information and the protections offered by the provider, and we rely on agreements that require the provider to protect it.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
Taskora does not use advertising trackers, analytics tools or tracking cookies.
- The website installs a service worker that caches the site’s own pages and images on your device, so the app loads faster and works offline. It does not cache form submissions or lead data.
- The owner’s admin console stores the owner’s admin access key in the browser’s session storage, and in local storage only if “remember this device” is chosen. Visitors who only use the public form are not affected.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept until the business owner deletes them, or until you ask us to delete them. When we receive a verified deletion request, we delete your information within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it. Records held by our providers (for example email delivery logs) are kept according to their own retention schedules.
Your rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- Delete your information, or have it de-indexed where applicable;
- Withdraw your consent to its use, including for emails;
- Know how your information is used and who it is shared with.
To make a request, email rowainsnyder@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the information. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, a database that only the server can access with secret credentials, a key-protected admin console, secret keys kept out of the website code, and spam and rate-limit protection. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify affected people and the authorities as required by law.
Children
Taskora is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14 in Quebec, or under 13 elsewhere. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on this website.
